He III National Congress of Wine Museums, concluded between the 23 and the 25 February 2005 at Villa Lucía Thematic Wine Center, from the Alava town of Laguardia, a total of 120 professionals from the world of tourism, the media, the world of wine and institutions.
The main objective of this third edition has been the establishment of a national debate forum aimed at exchanging ideas about wine tourism in Spain.. At the congress the foundations of the Association of Wine Museums of Spain were also laid.
The role of institutions in the organization and promotion of wine tourism and the importance of architecture for its revitalization, new forms of promotion of this sector, for which the role played by gastronomy and the world of wine in international cinema was analyzed, and the importance of the activities developed in these centers for tourism agents were other topics and conclusions discussed at the congress..
